Credential Earned

Baccalaureate Degree (BScPA)

Minimum Academic Requirements

Two full years undergraduate studies; 10 full course credits; any discipline

Experiential Prerequisite

Experience as Healthcare Professional with at least 1680 hours of direct patient contact

Citizenship

Canadian or Permanent Resident

   Preferred Criteria    
  • One full course (University or College level) for each of 3 courses: Human Anatomy, Chemistry (any) and Physiology
  • Health care experience within the last 5 years
  • GPA >3.0 on the OMSAS (4.0) scale

Program Length

24 months

Delivery Method

12 months of distance education with 4 mandatory Residential Blocks (4 weeks each in January, April, August, 5 weeks in November/December), followed by 12 months of clinical education where students will split the year between assigned communities in Northern Ontario and in Southern Ontario. The second year will also include 3 mandatory Residential Blocks (2 weeks in March, 2 weeks in May/June and 2 weeks in October)
