UofTMed magazine coversYou spoke and we heard you. A huge thank you to UofTMed magazine readers for taking our online survey in June.

Here’s what we learned:

  • You read us: 40% of you read every issue – and another 40% do so occasionally. (We’re thrilled.)
  • You take time: Nearly half of you spend 20-30 minutes with the magazine. (We’re humbled.)
  • You enjoy print – and digital too: Half of you prefer the “staying power” of print but digital appeals to many, especially younger grads. (We, too, like the mix.)

Your comments and story ideas were right on point: more research, representation from diverse health professions, creative and thoughtful profiles. For many of you, our bold themes — Food, Mystery , Change, and most recently Heal Thyself — are cutting through and going beyond the “relentless optimism” of many alumni publications, as one reader put it.

Each issue of UofTMed might not hit that pitch perfect note for you, but we are committed to keeping you informed, stimulating your interest and earning your trust. Stay tuned for a theme that’s on the lighter side come November.

Sincerely,

Linda Quattrin
