Professor Bohnen recieved his MD at the University of Toronto in 1975, and finished General Surgery training in Toronto in 1980. He is a general surgeon at St. Michael's Hospital with clinical and scholarly interests in surgical infections, abdominal wall hernias, quality improvement, surgical education and practice standards.
