Helping Children Overcome Speech Sound Difficulties

In honour of Speech and Hearing Awareness Month we are inviting the public to information sessions organized by the Ontario Association of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA) in partnership with the Department of Speech‐Language Pathology at the University of Toronto. This session will explore the role that speech‐language pathologists play in helping individuals overcome speech sound difficulties. The discussion will include an overview of the types of speech sound difficulties in children, the types of treatments and service‐delivery models available for children, the impact of speechlanguage pathologists in early intervention, as well as the referral process for school age children. This information session is open to the public and at the end of the session there will be time allotted for questions from the audience.
