Surgeons less likely to prefer back surgery than family doctors

Samuel Bederman (Dept. of Surgery) and his co-authors say that aligning the knowledge of surgeons and family physicians would create better shared decision-making between doctors and their patients, and give patients a better sense of their expectations of surgery.
